For over 20 years, my goal in my profession as a comprehensive general dentist has been to improve the health, function, self-esteem and well-being of my patients (who entrust me with their care). I first explored yoga out of curiosity and to strengthen my back in the late 1990’s.
More recently, yoga has provided the means to greater physical and emotional health for me personally. In 2016, I was called to become a Kripalu yoga teacher, and I wrestled with what made sense in my life, not only professionally, but also as a wife and mother of two teenagers. I realized that my goals as a yoga teacher are the same as being a dentist: to improve the health, function, self-esteem and well-being of my students (who entrust me).
My passion is to share the benefits of yoga with others, especially those who may think they aren’t “flexible enough" or wouldn’t otherwise have access to yoga. My mission in yoga, as in life, is to lift others up so that they may empower themselves.
